The BoltHold SP10-38K is a set of 6 asphalt anchors rated at 1,500 lbs. pull. The 6" long anchor is designed to mount bike racks, signs, light machinery directly to asphalt surfaces. For technical information please select the tabs above or visit our main website and search "SP10".

Each anchor incorporates a 3/8"-16 UNC (coarse) female thread. The length of the bolt inside the anchor should not exceed 3". The anchor requires a 7/8" hole, 6" deep, and the use of a grout such as our EPX2 or EPX3. A 1.4" header at the top of the anchor prevents the anchor from dropping below the surface as well as preventing the anchor from being pulled up into the mounting plate when the bolt is tightened.

The anchors are mounted flush with the surface of the roadway; attached objects can be removed without leaving dangerous screws or protrusions on the surface.

The SP10-38K is a set of 6 anchors, each pre-installed with a 1" long bolt and a 1" diameter washer. Shipping weight 2.5 lbs.

Q: can you get the bolt hold model sp10 in hot dip galvanized ?

A: Sorry I missed your question. Better late than never.

We can not hot dip the interior because the thread then fills up and the bolts will not thread properly. We can hot dip the exterior as an extra step.

Q: I purchased the 6 pack SP10-38K asphalt anchors it did not include the anchoring cement ? I thought that's included with the 6 pack? Is that sold separately or can I use any type of anchoring cement

A: The anchors do not come with grout. We offer 3 types of grouts. We do offer some kits of the SP10 with either the EPX2 cement or the EPX3 epoxy grout.

Q: We are mounting a sign to asphalt. The mounting plates have 1/4" holes in them. Will bolts for the SP10-38 fit in a 1/4" hole?

A: We do have EASM files of the anchors. These provide essentially the same information as STEP but preserve our proprietary information.

Q: Setting up a rogue rig where people will be doing swinging and pull Up etc. it’s on an asphalt drive way. Was thinking these would help secure it to the ground so there was no more movement. Was also not sure exactly what I’d have to order. Thanks!

A: First a word of caution: we only recommend the use of our anchors if the rig is stable and will not tip over without our anchors. It is safe to use our anchors to prevent the rig from travelling.

We recommend the SP12-38 or SP18-716. Make sure you read the manual aac.fyi/guide carefully.

Q: I'm putting g a 29x10 carport up it has a 2" metal frame along both sides how many anchors will I need the wind average is 18 mph with gusts up to 35 but it is fairly well protected between my house and my neighbors. And will the 6" sp10-38 do the job?

A: Although you enquired about a carport, because there are walls involved, I recommend using the shed calculator.

Using our Shed calculator (see bottom of home page), the total forces on the airport will be about 1000 lbs. Theoretically two anchors can handle this load. However we recommend placing at least one anchor per post.
